Germania of America, Inc. appoints Mr. Hermann Buerger to the Board of Directors.

Atlanta, Georgia (September 28, 2004) -- Mr. Helmut K. Werner, Chairman and CEO of Germania of America, Inc. announced today the appointment of Mr. Hermann Buerger to the Board of Directors.  The appointment will take effect October 1, 2004. 

Mr. Buerger was a senior executive with Commerzbank AG.  He served as a Commerzbank Regional Board Member and held the position of CEO for the bank's operations throughout the Americas. 

A current resident of Virginia, Mr. Buerger attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he earned an MBA and Bachelor's Degree in Economics.  Mr. Buerger serves on the Board of Directors of EMS Technologies, Inc. and AMB Industrial Partners.  In the past he also served on boards of Unibanco of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Security Capital and Wharton Real Estate Center.
